About Nathalie

A bridge between research and practice.

Dr Nathalie Helm is a specialist physician, Associate Professor, and a pioneer of functional medicine and longevity in Sweden. She completed her PhD at Karolinska Institutet in 2000, was a postdoc at Harvard School of Public Health, and has been Associate Professor of medical epidemiology at Sahlgrenska akademin since 2012.

Her career bridges 25 years of clinical research with functional medicine training from the Institute for Functional Medicine (IFM) and the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine (A4M). Since 2023 she has been Chief Medical Officer (CMO) at Hercare (women's health clinic) and AgeBack (longevity membership club in Stockholm). In 2026 she opens her own practice, HELM Longevity.

On stage Nathalie takes the audience from research frontier to action. She combines scientific precision with clinical pragmatism. No pseudoscience, no shortcuts. Her talks cover how to extend the number of healthy years, the specific health needs of women across every life stage, and what functional medicine adds where conventional medicine falls short.

Topics

What I speak about.

01

Optimizing health before and during menopause

Closing the women's health gap.

Women's health has historically been under-researched and under-treated. The talk walks the audience through the specific hormonal, metabolic, and inflammatory changes that occur in perimenopause and menopause, what biomarkers can show, and which evidence-based interventions actually work. Practical, scientifically grounded, and built for an audience that wants to act.

Suitable for: women's health conferences, corporate events, healthcare professionals, general audience 35+
02

A long, healthy life

The science of longevity, from research frontier to action.

What does the latest longevity research say about what's actually within our control? The talk works through The Hallmarks of Aging (mitochondrial function, autophagy, AMPK, hormones, inflammation) and translates them into concrete interventions. For those who want to build a practice on scientific ground rather than hype.

Suitable for: leadership and corporate events, health and wellness conferences, entrepreneur networks
